June Simons bids farewell after 43 years
Precision Investment Castings (PIC) says farewell to one of it’s longest serving employees after 43 years.
June Simons retired from her duties as wax room supervisor and a valued member of the team on Thursday 9th May 2019.
Starting with the company in 1976, she recalls how PIC was “the place to work back then” and joins 3 generations of her family who also worked at the company over the years. Her mum, husband, son and brother all had jobs with the company at one time or another.
June has witnessed a lot of change over the years; new management, size and scope of products, new faces coming and going, but she hopes that the future remains bright for the company saying, “I have made a lot of friends working at PIC and I will be sure to pop in for a catch up from time to time. I wish the company all the best for the future.”
June received flowers and a special leaving gift from the company and her colleagues following a short speech by the previous PIC Managing Director, Ian Taylor, who commented; “I’m sure June will be very much looking forward to spending her retirement with her family and her two new puppy’s Mika and Claude, but rest assured she will be hugely missed by everyone here at Precision Investment Castings.”
From all the team, we would like to wish June all the best for a happy and health retirement.
